Analyse d’Ivry Sur Seine

We were asked to analyze the town of Ivry Sur Seine, a suburb just outside the boundaries of Paris. After our analysis we were to develop a problem statement and a response/solution. From our response we developed urban planning and architecture.

Through my analysis I determined that Ivry Sur Seine is a beneficial parasite of Paris. While it offered many services to the families that occupied its less expensive housing, there was little for the students of Paris who lived there for the same low prices. I produced a large scale redevelopment on the site of a massive factory. Using new and existing buildings I created a semi-self sufficient campus of public and private spaces. The program integrates four types of space: private, public-shared, public-intimate and public-exposed.
